HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL, we have an amazing line up of Guest Speakers in 2026 and also some wonderful trips for your delight throughout the year.
Don’t forget 22nd January 2026 is our Annual General Meeting with guest speaker from this years chosen charity ‘Humberston Hydrotherapy Pool’ . We will be taking our yearly subscription of £15 on the day and refreshments will include hot drinks and sausage rolls to welcome you all back. Entry as always to New Waltham Village Hall is £2 for members and £5 for non-members. If you would like to return your Trophies from last years Daffodil Show please hand them back to Graham Turner he will have a desk set up to tick you off the list.
Our 2025 Christmas Lunch was a great success in December and the meal at Waltham Windmill Golf Club was lovely, a big thank you to Lizzie Shaw for organising for us.
September 2025 Annual Flower, Fruit, Vegetable & Craft Show – What a fabulous show, I hope everyone had a wonderful day. We have a list of winners on the club notice board, together with the Show’s accounts. We had to replace some of our trophies and I particularly liked the rose and dahlia ones, so I will be trying to win those for myself next year.
The Club would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work in making the show a success, from setting up the hall, judges, plant stall, refreshment and cakes donated. A big thank you to Linda, Stephanie & Graham for their organisation. Also to you all for joining in, there were some amazing entrants and I hope that it’s inspired you all to enter next year. The committee is interested in any new categories and would welcome your ideas.
Join the Committee – Our lovely club is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and we would like to add to our committee. So if you can join us for an hour per month, to help make decisions and run the Club please contact a Committee Member.
29th March 2025 was our Annual Open Charity Daffodil Show. We had lots of exhibits and plenty of tea and cake to ensure that everyone had a super day. All our profit, with a small donation added, allows us to donate £518.95 to help support Lincs Emergency Blood Bikes. A big thank you to all those who helped on the day, those that had a go and entered the Show and those that came to support.
We especially ask that you park considerately at the Village Hall to allow the maximum number of cars to park, or car share if possible. Teas, coffee and orange juice are served at Speaker Meetings. There is also a raffle, with grateful thanks to Lynda and Pat. Has Linda (Membership Secretary) got your email address should we need to tell you of any last minute change? Please check with her. PLEASE LOOK AT THIS WEBPAGE AND AT YOUR EMAILS TO CHECK WHAT IS HAPPENING BEFORE COMING TO ANY MEETING. Fire Regulations restrict numbers in the hall but provided we have up to 120 people, (we average 80) non-members are welcome to come and join us for a maximum of 3 meetings a year.
